SWEET + SAVORY - Sweet Cravings in Normal Heights

Yesterday we decided to go have Afternoon Tea. After weighing our options, we landed on trying out Dark Horse Coffee on Adams Avenue in San Diego's Normal Heights Neighborhood. Manny used to live in this area years ago and we used to take strolls along Adams all the time. Since then, a lot of new shops have popped up and after having tea and donuts, we took a look at some of them.

We finally tried out Viva Pops and, I have to admit, we'd totally been missing out. They are organic ice cream pops and sooo good! I had the Blood Orange Flavor and Manny had a Berry one that's made with goat milk.

All along Adams you will find restaurants, bars, coffee shops, furniture stores and this giant comic and game shop called Villainous Lair.

The past weekend, we felt like having ice cream (it's kind of a daily thing for us) and we had stopped by Mariposa. Really good home made ice cream.

If you're into organic, home-made, one-of-a-kind shops, make sure to check out Normal Heights!
